Cars and things

Basically everbody can guess from the title of this topic what were we bound to do at that lession, photographing cars.

These shiny, gorgious monsters or even the smallest editions of city cruisers were on the other side of the photomachine bringing joy as well as demanding effort to capture them from the best angle.

The favourite snap of mine is this palm tre and the lines of a car-door, the shapes and the play with the shades does really capture me as they bend from side to side and make for the infinity. The shade reflected by the rear-view mirror makes me to imagine an other object above the picture, so the main meaning of this picture for me is that you can se the beauty but the other part is to be imagined in your mind and let for your fantasy.
The second snap which I've choosen is a smart Smart with its double lights. The round shape and the circles prevail the picture making a familiar and friendly impression. I prefered to take it in black and white cause y intention was to highlight the lines and the shades instead of the flamboyant colour of the car.

Let it go

After the orientation at the 1st week now the work finally got started.
I've been curiously waitin for taking snaps and discover something new.

The thing wich has clarified in me now is that modern artists and photographers do use the computer and digital technology to make their best and to complie their pictures. This fact was something like manipulation on my mind before and I had debates with myself how far I can go by editing a picture on the computer. Basicly I went till croping and did some elementary changes on the snap but nothing more serious.

As for, the difficulties of the first action I suggest that was the lighting and contrast. Quite hard to balance both of them without making a picture in an other perspective. I suppose improving that skill and understanding it will help me to take better pictures.

The really beggining

First and foremost let me intorduce myself and my reasons why I've created this blog.
My name is Adam Selymes, I'm a 1st year student of IBS at Art Management faculty, which is a pretty interresting and entertaining subject to study.

My story began aprox. 3years ago in Leeds when I took my first picture which has captured my hearth and made me a fan of photography. The picture was taken at an excursion on a rainy day with my school. I always enjoyed taking pictures of sights and happenings, so I tried to do sth which is going to resemble me for that trip. Actually it surprised me how it ended up, and continued since then with a several ones:)

As for my first experiences at school, I suppose it is going to be an interresting semester at photo lession, cause I've never had an instructor. I always looked at various snaps at fotocommunity.de and tried to take up some of the styles and techniques which i liked.
So I'm looking for to gain new aspects and views to endeepen me in this field.
